cat beds
Raised timber and woven cat beds with washable cushions, made for Australian summers.
4 products
Cats sleep between twelve and sixteen hours a day, so a cat bed is the piece of furniture they use most. These are built on solid timber frames and raised off the floor rather than sitting flat on it, which keeps a sleeping cat off cold tiles in winter and out of the dust layer year round.
Raised beds and why the 4cm matters
Most beds here sit on short timber legs about 4cm high. That gap lets air move underneath, which stops the damp and mildew that builds up under a bed pushed against a floor, and adds a layer of insulation in both directions - useful in an Australian summer as much as in winter.
Washable, replaceable, wipe-clean
Cushions are removable and washable. Where a bed includes a scratching pad, it is fastened with velcro so you can replace the pad when it wears through instead of replacing the bed. The durian shell wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Sizing for your cat
The compact round and square beds suit cats up to roughly 6kg and work well in apartments or on a desk. The woven bed at 48cm across suits a cat that likes to curl. The durian shell is deeper and suits cats that prefer to be enclosed on three sides.
